so pretty much the minute jeff proposed, i become obsessed with wedding blogs. i frequented stylemepretty and 100layercake daily. i dabbled in greenweddingshoes, snippetandink, and martha stewart's bride's blog. i just loved everything about each wedding that was featured and longed for my own dream wedding.
i couldn't find any perfect pictures for here.
now that i am married and can happily say that i did have the wedding of my dreams, i have little pull towards those blogs. i looked at stylemepretty yesterday and totally appreciated all the beauty there is, but didn't feel those thrills that i used to. i am sure i will continue to look at my wedding blog friends a little, but my heart doesn't need to pour over them anymore. plus--it might make me just want another wedding [to jeff, of course] and i just don't want to be left thinking that my wedding could have been better.
or here.
let's face it--to me, it couldn't have been better.
or here.
anyways the point of this ramble is just to say that my heart has fallen in love [again] with those blogs i used to follow before wedding fever got me. i visited definingamy for the first time in a week or two and then followed one of her links to sending-postcards and my rush.urge.excitement.whatever you call it to travel just rushed into me again...not unlike my rush.urge.excitement.whatever you call it to plan a wedding just dimished. so here i am, reading Eat, Pray, Love and looking at travel blogs and hoping that our move to arizona in august will give me enough travelling to tie me over until we are fabulously rich [in 50033749390 years after medical school and repaying debts]. do you think there will be lions in arizona?

i am making mister C sit down tonight to write a wanderlist with me.
p.s. i promise these posts won't always be this wordy.

Yes, Mrs. Collins, there are lions in Arizona. But don't worry. Once when I was in "the 'zone"...a (Arizona) I met up with one of these ferocious critters and right before he was about to attack me, I punched him square in the nostrils and I said, "Hey, Mr. Lion, don't ever mess with me again or I will have to punch you in the nostrils again! And if newlyweds named Stacey and Jeff Collins ever come down here, don't even think about messing with them or else I will again...punch you in the nostrils".
ReplyDeleteSo after reading that descriptive anecdote, Collins family, I hope it's obvious that you and your future family have nothing to worry about when it comes to lions in Arizona because I have them all taken care of. And if all else fails, just mention my name.
Also, you should tell us about your honeymoon here in the blog! I doubt I speak for myself when I say I would love to hear what you guys did!
Well I hope all is well, and enjoy your new life you beautiful couple, you!
Love,
