thunderstorms

on my way to school, the sky looked like this.

then it started thundering.

and then it rained.

and i got really wet.

now, i am (still) terrified of thunderstorms

so walking to school with one overhead was not my idea of fun

and i cursed the rain as it came down.

then i realized i had been hoping for some relief from the heat

and that i should be grateful for the rain.

so then, i decided to be happy about it.

what a difference a little decision like that can make!
